What you should do if you find a fake online slot site

In the last few years, online slots have become increasingly popular. The convenience of playing slots from home or on your mobile device makes them extremely accessible. However, as with anything on the internet, you have to be careful. Unfortunately, there are some fake and scammy online slots sites out there that you’ll want to avoid.

    1. Stock images – Real sites will use images and graphics related specifically to their brand. Fake sites often steal stock photos or generic casino imagery.
    2. Too good to be true bonuses – Scam sites will try to lure you in with enormous deposit matches or free spins that are unrealistic at legitimate casinos.
    3. Certification seals – Reputable sites will display seals from certification bodies like eCOGRA. These are checks that the games are fair.
    4. Odd domain – Scam sites often have strange or nonsensical domain names. Look for sites using .com or your country’s domain.
    5. Spelling and grammar errors – Sloppy text is a sign you’re dealing with an unprofessional or illegitimate operation.
    6. Poor web design – Fake sites are often hastily put together and may be difficult to navigate or have broken images/links https://capacityacademy.com check out this.

If a site sets off alarm bells, avoid making a deposit. Do a little more digging to confirm whether or not it’s above board.

    Casino and look for reviews

It will pull up any negative mentions. You can also look up the casino on review sites like AskGamblers.com. Here you’ll see player reviews and ratings for thousands of casinos. Be wary if the casino has no reviews or overwhelmingly negative feedback. A scam site likely won’t have many genuine reviews. Search the casino license number in Google too. Legit casinos must hold a license to operate legally. You should be able to look up info on the regulatory body issuing the license to confirm it’s valid.

    Try to find contact info

As mentioned before, a lack of contact details is a bad sign. But try calling or emailing before writing the casino off. Occasionally the info is just hard to find on the site.  Send an email asking a general casino question or test out the live chat. At the very least you’ll confirm whether these methods work. And the casino’s response (or lack thereof) will be telling. Professional casinos provide customer service during business hours.  Look up the casino developer and see to any other brands. Reputable developers will work with various mainstream casinos. Fake casinos often use recently registered domains with suspicious registrars. Or they might use name servers linked to other scam sites.

    Try withdrawing a small amount

The ultimate test is requesting a withdrawal. Reputable online casinos make it relatively smooth to deposit and withdraw. Rogue sites either won’t allow withdrawals at all or the process is needlessly complicated. Deposit a small sum like $20. Play slots or table games with it, then cash out your balance. It will confirm if the withdrawal process works properly. And if there are any issues, you’ve only lost a few bucks rather than your life savings.
